From spouting about how they've opened each other's eyes to the world and roused the quest for "greatness," to the early difficulties of becoming more acquainted with one another on Riverdale, ET is glancing back at a portion of the sweet things Lili Reinhart and Cole Sprouse said during their sentiment after news broke on Monday that the couple had thrown in the towel. 

The pair, who play onscreen couple Betty Cooper and Jughead Jones on Riverdale, have gone their different ways, as indicated by numerous reports. 

The news comes over two years after gossipy tidbits about sentiment began whirling after Sprouse posted a perfect photograph of Reinhart sitting in the midst of a field of yellow blooms in May 2017.

While the on-screen characters stayed tight-lipped about whether they were a thing, they were captured kissing in Paris, France, in April 2018 and apparently affirmed they were a thing by going to the 2018 Met Gala together the next month. At the time, Reinhart revealed to ET that it felt "astounding" to go to the impressive occasion with Sprouse and she later posted a photograph from the party via web-based networking media, seeming to make them Instagram official. 

In August 2018, Reinhart spouted about the amount Sprouse had affected her life in an adoring Instagram tribute to him on his birthday. 

"It appears as though the world would at present be an outsider to me, notwithstanding you," she subtitled a photograph of Sprouse sitting on a yellow divider pointing at the camera.
